Some of our Projects & Involvements - find even more here!
The "Ocean Breeze" Apartments - The EntranceAn eleven unit (2 penthouses) development at Ocean Parade - The Entrance, where the builder and then the developer had gone bust half way through the project. The structure was a real mess.
The mortgagee was urgently required to take the project in hand and complete the outstanding works and bring the completed units to market as quickly as possible to recoup their investment. Who You Gonna Call? Of course they called in the HC&M crew to address the outstanding works and issues and to provide all of the finishing touches to each unit prior to sale.
The "Hunter Mews" Estate - Gosford
A 42 unit development complex in Henry Parry Drive which included substantial internal civil works as well as road widening, surfacing, drainage and kerb & guttering in the side street (Dwyer Street).
Following abandonment of the project by the previous project manager/foreman, the HC&M guys were called in to manage all aspects of the construction. We provided project management, carpentry and general labour - as well as client liaison, quantity surveyor inspections & progress payment assessments, certifier inspection through sign-off and staged occupancy etc.
And yes, we know the development is not an architectural triumph, but sadly, the design was not part of our brief.
Have a look at this project for some further details and images.
"The Breakers" residence - Kilcare Heights
Now we know this was built some time ago, but its certainly an achievement which we're proud of and worthy of inclusion here. The residence was featured in the House & Garden Yearbook in a six page spread.
An architect designed masterpiece which has become a landmark at Kilcare Heights. Located at 30 Macdonald Street and designed by renowned architect John McKinney, this spectacular home was built as a weekend/holiday retreat for appreciative owners Robert Gregg and Elaine Stewart. Visit this one to check out some images and an owner's testimonial.
The Thredbo
Lodges Project
We provided a carpentry crew and foreman to complete detailed
framing and roofing structures for the appreciative owners of a
new three lodge development.
Although there were already a few carpentry teams on site, none
them were confident to tackle the architecturally challenging
cut-on-site roofing design in this one. A spectacular project and
even more spectacular scenery.
"Tumbarumba"
Pole House - Church Point
Another architectural masterpiece - designed and built by the
HC&M crew in McCarrs Creek Road - Church Point. Again, this
one was built some years ago but it still dominates the McCarrs
Creek valley.
One of the most difficult sites you will ever see. We managed to
roll the excavator twice during initial site works.
Luckily Workcover was not around at the time! The construction
process was highlighted on the Maggie Tabberer Home Show, and the
project was another triumph. Every builder and carpenter who sees
this place looks around in absolute awe.
